A Long Night

Rod and Donna were up at the hospital with Maxine for about 4 hours tonight. They were hoping she would get taken off of the ventilator. They started weening her off of it, but when they did a test (something with messing around with the tube in her mouth) she started freaking out on them. So, their plan was to try again later and do some other tests and such. Donna and Rod stayed up there for a few hours afterwards, but the nurse told them they might not actually get her off of it until the morning. They both want to be there for her as she becomes aware of her surroundings and is able to talk, but the hospital just can't give an exact time.

As you can imagine this is frustrating and Donna and Rod are tired.

Please pray for Maxine to get off of the ventilator and not have too much pain in her throat or have lips that are too dry (right now they are being dabbed with water every now and then).

Please pray for Maxine to remain in peace throughout this process.

Please pray for her to recover quickly from being on her back for over two days.

Please pray for the Lord to heal her while she is in this state, and for her pain to be as minimal as possible.

Please pray for Donna and Rod to sleep well when they are actually able to sleep.

Once again, thank you so much for praying for our sweet Grandma (This is Sarah writing). She is truly a blessing to our family and we don't know what we would do without her.
