We are so grateful for all of you who want to pray for and visit Maxine. She will forever be grateful for your love, support and prayers. Please continue to pray for her. At this time, the hospital is not accepting visitors, but we will let you know as soon as she is ready to see all of your friendly faces. Thank you again and please continue to pray.

Saturday September 13-9:00 AM

Last night, Maxine went into afib. They are not too worried about it because they say her heart is very strong. However, today she was in pain so they gave her some morphine. Right after they gave her the morphine the doctor came in and said that they should not be giving her so many pain medicines or she will never get off the ventilator.

So, that brings us to the ventilator. She is still on it. We are praying that she can get off of the vent today. Please pray with us. We want her to get off of it so that she can start to recover. They have realized that she needs to move slower than most patients, but it is still time for her to get off of it.

She is awake, but not very alert. We are hoping once they get the vent out that she can start acting more like herself.

Prayer: Pray that she can get the vent out today.

Praise: At 91, after a quadruple bypass surgery, she is alive. That is a praise for sure. We are grateful to God that He continues to bless us with her life here on earth.

Thank you for praying with us.

  1. Oh Maxine I am praying for you!!! Thank you Sarah for all the updates and keeping us well informed. I have passed along the information to the "Pew Pals" and I will assist in any way to help them log into the blog to be able to stay updated with Maxine's progress.

I miss you and my heart is sad. My trust is in The Lord. God is in control and I am thankful for His grace and mercy!
